Three nursing training institutions have been earmarked for construction in the Brong Ahafo Region. They will be situated at Goaso, Dormaa Ahenkro and Techiman. The deputy Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Eric Opoku made this known at an interdenominational Church Service to inaugurate a grader and a tipper truck purchased by the Asutifi District Assembly.
The Deputy Regional Minister, commended the Asutifi District Assembly for the grader and the tipper truck valued at 481,283 Ghana Cedis.
Mr. Opoku observed that bad roads create challenges for the citizenry and hinder government’s desire to better the lot of the people. He added that improved roads will equally enable expectant mothers in labour to reach health centres in time for safe delivery as their travelling time would be reduced.
The DCE for Asutifi, Eric Addae said a committee would be set up to determine roads that will be repaired to open up farming areas in the District to stem the annual post harvest losses and improve the income of farmers. He touched on a number of projects the District Assembly has initiated over the past one year under his administration.
