Former Ghana youth international Maxwell Owusu Banahene is confident he can regain his form making a return in eight years. Banahene joined local side Chelsea of Bechem last year after shaking off a career threatening knee injury.

He has been chosen as first choice goalie at Chelsea since the second round of the Glo Premier League begun last week.

"I think my form has been good now and I can improve my performance. The two matches have been ok for me and I don't feel any pain in my leg," Banahene said.

"I pray that in the coming days things will be fine by God's Grace and I can regain my form again."

The 27-year-old goalkeeper was in between the sticks for the Ghana Under-20 team that won silver at the 2001 World Youth Championship in Argentina.
