President Mills and Gbagbo hold bilateral talks  
President Atta Mills with Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo
 
President John Evans Atta Mills has called on the Ivorian President to organize free, fair and transparent election for the will of the majority to prevail.   

President Mills acknowledged the arrangement being made for the forthcoming election in Cote d’Ivoire and both leaders insisted on the need to ensure peaceful and violence free election to enhance the credibility of the democratic process in Cote d’Ivoire.  

These were in a joint communiqué issued by the two leaders at the end of the two-day visit of the Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo to Ghana.  The Communique was read by Ghana’s Foreign Minister, Alhaji Mahammed Mumuni.

Foreign Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni said the two leaders also agreed on the need to reactivate the Ghana-Cote d’Ivoire Border Demarcation Commission to examine all aspects of land and maritime boundaries.
