Striker Asamoah Gyan has admitted playing at the Ohene Djan Stadium, venue for Ghana's World Cup qualifier against Sudan this Sunday, is difficult and intimidating for the Black Stars. Gyan endured a difficult time with the fans in Accra during the last Cup of Nations where he was severely criticized for wastefulness upfront. 

The media learnt the he and his brother Baffour had packed their bags and were ready to leave the team hotel but were persuaded to stay by team-mates. 

"What I think is that in the early stages when the game starts going wrong, you see the fans hooting at you not like the Kumasi Stadium where they have been cheering you up to the 90 minutes and I think that is a big problem with the Accra Sports Stadium," Gyan replied. 

Gyan claims he has overcome those moments and ready to open a new leaf in his international career. 

He was Ghana's lead marksman at 2006 World Cup finals in Germany and scored the country first goal at the biggest stage. 

The 23-year-old is in form scoring last Saturday in Rennes 2-2 draw at Lens in the French Ligue 1.
