Government has signed a compensation package with Gambia for the families of six Ghanaians identified in the Gambian killing.  

In an interview with Radio Ghana, a Human Rights Activist, Nana Oye Lithur, expressed dissatisfaction about government’s failure to involve relatives of the Ghanaians who were killed.
        
She called on government to hold discussions with the bereaved families in order to factor their needs into any compensation package.
