Hearts of Oak beat Eleven Wise 5-4 on penalties on Wednesday night at the Baba Yara Stadium to lift this year's President Cup. Subsitute Eric Gawu converted the last kick to beat goalie Baba Sampana their first major trophy in more than two decades.

Winfred Dorman opened the scoring for Wise in the second half but Gawu equalized seconds after taking to the field.

Hearts have had a turbulent end to the season and want to use this feat to wipe their recent patchy run.

"This will appease the supporters and assure them that we can win the league. We quickly want to go back to hard work because there's no substitute for it," Hearts coach Nii Noi Thompson told source.
