The grand finale of the second edition of the Challenge Educational reality TV show has been held in Accra with Joseph Opoku emerging the ultimate prize winner. He won a post graduate scholarship from the University of Westminster, London worth 40 thousand pounds.
This scholarship includes tuition for a twelve month post graduate course, fully paid accommodation in an international student hostel, a monthly living allowance, a return ticket to the UK valid for a year, and a brand new laptop computer. On completion of the post graduate course, Joseph Opoku will return to Ghana to work in a lucrative management position with a top organisation.
The first runner up Sandrah Barimah and the second runner-up, Araba Abakah-Anaman also won scholarship to study post graduate courses at Thames valley University and London Metropolitan University both in United Kingdom.
The third runner up Anastasia Arko will study at IMPC here in Ghana. The Minister of Information, Zita Okaikoi who graced the occasion commended the British Council, organizers of the programme and its partners for their foresight, in bringing up such a competition. She lauded the competition saying it will encourage learning and research among the youth and create for them employment opportunities.
Mrs. Okaikoi congratulated the winners and charged them to maintain the momentum beyond the competition so that the exposure they have gained benefits the society and the country at large.
The Challenge educational reality TV show is designed to give bright, ambitious Ghanaian University graduates the opportunity to win four post graduate scholarship at three leading Universities in the UK and at IMPC in Ghana.
