Nduom proposes stimulus package for Ghana
Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom

The 2008 Convention People's Party,(CPP) Presidential  Candidate, Dr.  Paa Kwesi Nduom, has proposed the establishment of a stimulus package for the country.  According to him the package should help transform the economy from a raw material producer to a producer of manufactured goods.  This will create jobs for Ghanaians and reduce youth unemployment.  Dr. Nduom stated this at a news conference in Accra.

He said, government should ensure that the tax payers’ money goes to fund local enterprises to help produce enough  food items such as chocolate, rice and fruit juices to support the economy.  The former CPP Presidential candidate also suggested the establishment of what he called Ghana Domestic Business Stimulus Committee under the direction of the President of Ghana.  This Committee he said will work to ensure the effective  implementation of the  stimulus package.
