Volta Regional Minister honoured
Volta Regional Minister honoured

The Chiefs and people of the Ve Traditional Area in conjunction with the Ve-Lukusi Improvement Society (VLIS) has organized a grand durbar in honour of the Volta Regional Minister Joseph Amenowode at Ve-Deme in the Hohoe Municipality.  The function which was  attended by Ministers of State, Members of Parliament (MPs) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) party officials was to honour the Minister who is also the MP for Hohoe South on his elevation to a Minister of State.

The Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs, Akua Sena Dansua, called on the people of the Region to support the minister to harness the human and material resources in the region for development. 

She noted that though the name of her Ministry shows that it is the women’s Ministry it also addresses the concerns and problems of men. 

Miss Dansua who is also the MP for North Dayi therefore called on men to support the women to ensure that their rights and views are always factored into any development agenda.

The Vice Chairman of the Volta Region MPs caucus, Captain George Mfodjo, pledged the Caucus' support and collaboration to the Regional Minister for the rapid socio-economic development of the region. 

The Paramount Chief of Ve Traditional Area, Togbega Delume, Commended President J.E.A. Mills for identifying the virtues of leadership in their son and appointing him to lead the development of the Volta region,

For his part, Mr. Amenowode commended the people for their love and support and urged them to work hard for the  development of the region.
