Religious leaders meet on prosperity teachings

Some religious leaders in the country met to discuss the prosperity teachings that are gaining momentum in Ghanaian Pentecostalism and Charismatism. The leaders include, the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church in Accra, Rev. Dr. Mensa Otabil, the General Overseer of the Word Miracle Church International, Bishop Charles Agyin Asare, the Vice President of the Trinity Theological Seminary and Minister of the Methodist Church of Ghana, Very. Rev. Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu.

The panel discussion held at the Bethany Methodist Church, Dzorwulu looked at what prosperity theology in Ghana is, why it has a mass appeal to the majority of Christians in the country and the impact of this teaching on the church and the people of Ghana.
