Peter Ala Adjetey laid to rest  

The mortal remains of the Speaker of the Third Parliament of the Fourth Republic, RT. Hon. Peter Ala Adjetey have been interred in the yard of the ST Paul’s Anglican Church, La, Accra. This was after a state burial service at the fore court of the Sate House.

Present at the service were President Kufuor and Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama and their spouses as well as the Speaker, Ebenezer Sekyi Hughes and Chief Justice Mrs. Justice Georgina Wood.

A tribute on behalf of the government and nation referred to Peter Ala Adjetey as a man of many parts who achieved greatness in all fields of endeavour and also stood tall among his peers.

Grace Tagoe reports that Former President Rawlings, former Vice President and Flagbearer of the NDC, Prof. John Atta Mills were among those who paid their last respects to the late Peter Ala Adjetey.
