The Mfantseman Municipal Assembly has selected 100 youth to benefit from apprenticeship training under the rural Enterprise Project. The Municipal Chief Executive, Robert Quainoo Arthur will provide working tools to the trainees after their course. He said this at the graduation of 38 members of the Mankessim branch of the National Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians at Mankessim branch of the National Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians at Mankessim.
He pointed out that the government placed high premium on human resource development and appealed to the youth to take advantage of opportunities being provided by the state to acquire skills. The NDC parliamentary aspirant for Mantseman West, Aquinas Tawiah Quansah, said skill training, like education in general is a continuous process and urged graduates to further their training in their profession.
The Central Regional Vice President of the Association, Madam Josephine Bennin advised the graduates to be respectful to their mistresses. The President of the Mankessim branch of the Association Madam Gladys Hammond also appealed to the assembly to loan start-up capitals to the graduates to enable them set up their own salons.
