ABL introduces comprehensive guide to alcohol

Accra Brewery Limited, one of the listed Companies on the Ghana Stock Exchange has come out with a comprehensive guide to alcohol. The guide which provides consumers around the world with an easy understanding of the production to the metabolism of beer and assists people make informed choices and drink responsibly can be found at the Company’s website, www.TalkingAlcohol.com as part of its social responsibly to its consumers.

A statement issued by the Company after a tour by some Business and Financial journalists said the website provides an “alcohol and body” section which includes an interactive trip through the body, explaining how alcohol is absorbed and processed. It also explains the physical effects that cause a hangover and provides the latest information about how alcohol can impact various conditions like diabetes and pregnancy.

There are issues relating to health, parenting, bridge-drinking, drinking and driving and policy approaches. The website was developed by the parent Company of ABL SAB Miller Plc and is the first imitative of its kind to be launched globally.

Meanwhile the Company is putting up a 20million dollar New Packaging Hall that will produce 36 thousand bottles of beer per hour. The $60 million expansion project will be completed in March next year.
