Ghana joins internationat group of Valuators
The International Association of Consultants Valuators and Analysts, Ghana Chapter, has been launched in Accra.  The objective of the Association is to support government’s efforts at fraud deterrence and forensic accounting.  Its President, Benneth Kpentey said through the association, Ghanaian business valuers can participate in major transactions and deals across the globe.

He said the association encourages the development and dissemination of a consistent information system that will detect and prevent fraud.  The Public Relations Officer of Kosmos Energy, George Sarpong welcomed the idea of a Ghana Chapter saying the oil find will bring many investors into the country.  He said the association should work with government and other stakeholders to ensure an efficient public sector devoid of corruption.

The International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts is the largest accrediting and educational association in the world with more than eight thousand associate members.  Chapter members currently exist in seven countries including Ghana, the only African country with a charter status.
