The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will today name the new coach of the senior national, the Black StarsThe country's federation is poised to name German Volke Finke or former French international Jean Pierre Papin. This was after Austrian favourite Josef Hickersberger was ruled out because of his financial demands after meeting the GFA's search party in Holland.
The coach will be in charge of the team for a potential friendly against Tanzania on 20 August.
Finke has been tipped as the favourite to replace Claude Le Roy, who quit the post after disagreeing with the GFA over a new contract.
Local coach Sellas Tetteh has been in charge of the team since the Frenchman left and led the team to the top of Group Five of the World Cup qualifiers.
