A capacity building seminar to upgrade the skills of Muslim clerics in management, dispute resolution and influencing change in society has ended in Accra. The programme, the second in the series brought together representatives from Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Mali, and Cote d’Ivoire. It was organised by Al-Hudaibiyya Relief Services in collaboration with the World Assembly of Muslim Youth WAMY.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Sheikh IC Quaye said lack of effective planning and management is responsible for most of the problems facing societies especially, the Muslim communities. According to him, mobilisation and efficient utilisitation of resources will help achieve optimum results in the attainment of organisational gods.
The Head of delegation of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Arifi expressed satisfaction about the programme. He said the organisation will continue to help in the organisation of such programmes in order to inculcate in the youth the spirit of tolerance. Certificates were awarded to participants at the end of the programme.
