NDC maintains that health care delivery is not free
The  NDC has  rejected a statement  allegedly made by the NPP Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo Addo that health care delivery in Ghana is free.  The NDC wants the  NPP to come clear with the fact.  Addressing a news conference in Accra the  Propaganda Secretary of the party, Fiifi Kwetey, said  Ghanaians are directly  financing their own healthcare through the  compulsory payment of premium.  He also cited the regular contributions made anytime Ghanaians patronize goods and  services as a  clear sign  that  healthcare delivery is not free.

On Health infrastructure, Mr. Kwetey said the NPP government had failed to rehabilitate hospitals the NDC government had constructed.  He said the Tamale hospital  which was on course to be  rehabilitated to a regional  hospital by the  previous regime has  been left to deteriorate. Mr. Kwetey asked the  Kufuor administration  to  list  some of the  new  hospitals it has constructed
