Child trafficking, a lucrative business
Child trafficking is increasingly becoming a lucrative business for traffickers as between 600 and 800 thousand people are trafficked across international borders.  It is estimated that one-point-two million children are victims of child trafficking.

The Episcopal Chairman of Migrants Commission of the National Catholic Secretariat and the Catholic Bishop of Wa, the Most Rev. Paul Bemile disclosed this at a West Africa Regional Awareness Workshop on Dangers of Human Trafficking in Accra. He said human trafficking is a global problem, and called for concerted and holistic approach to eradicate it.
