A ceremony has been held in Cape Coast to induct Koame Mieza Edjah, as the new Headmaster of Mfantsipim School and bid farewell tothe immediate past Headmaster, Crosby Eshun. Other staff who have either retired o been transferred from the School were also honoured at the ceremony. The School Chaplain, Rev. Dennis Joseph Boadu, who conducted the service, asked for God’s blessings for the new headmaster and charged the staff to support him in his duties. The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Samuel Bannerman-Mensah, asked Mr. Mieza Edjah to help improve the current standard.
He stressed that the service demand nothing other than quality products from the school. He hoped Mfantsipim would continue to produce more quality students for the country. He called for collaboration among the Ministry of Education Science and Sports, the Ghana Education Service, parents and students to ensure the success of the new Education Reform.
A member of the Council of State and Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, Ato Essuman, thanked Mr. Eshun the out-going headmaster, for his contribution to the School. The new headmaster called for the support of all to make his work easy and asked parents to understand the school disciplinary code and cooperate with school authorities to check students who go wrong.
