Parliament resumes sitting after Easter recess
The Speaker of Parliament Ebenezer Sakyi Hughes has appealed to Members to be tolerant for the divergent views expressed from the caucuses. They should also forge ahead in consensus building in all deliberations. Mr. Sakyi Hughes was speaking at the resumed sitting of the house after the Easter recess.

He advised the MPs to be punctual and avoid absenteeism. According to our correspondent, the House adjourned immediately after a solidarity statement by the member for Ahafo Ano North, K.O. Frempong, on the recent earth quake that struck the Sichuan province of the republic of China, killing more than 36 thousand people.

Attendance according to our correspondent was encouraging and members were seen exchanging pleasantries, while others were also engaged in discussions of the recent primaries held in their constituencies which some of them lost.
