'Come to our aid' - Iddrisu Adam

The Presiding Member of the Wa Municipal Assembly Iddrisu Adam has appealed to government and NGOs to go to the aid of Nyagli Primary School in the Municipality which he said is in a deplorable state.  Mr. Adam made the appeal when he received building materials worth 600 Ghana cedis from the Educational Development Fund for Muslim Youth, EDUFUND at Wa in the Upper West Region.  The materials included 25 bags of cement, 28 pieces of boards and a packet of roofing sheets.

Mr. Adam who is also the Assembly member for Nyagli electoral area said the deplorable nature of the school is having a negative impact on teaching and learning and thanked EDUFUND for going to the aid of the school.  The Project Coordinator of EDUFUND, Adams Issahaku said the NGO was moved by the plight of the Nyagli community hence the donation.

He expressed the hope that the material will be used for the benefit of the community.  The Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Scholastica Gyiyie commended EDUFUND for its gesture and gave the assurance that the items will be put to good use.
