Financial Institutions have been encouraged to complement the efforts of government by supporting farmers.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Hannah Tetteh made the Call at a stakeholders meeting in Accra on the proposed guidelines for the operation of the agriculture, agro-processing development and credit facility.

She was not happy the banks are reluctant to pass on the credit facility due to the risk involved in agriculture.
