Ex-Clerk lauds passage of Transition Act, warns of loopholes
A Former Clerk of Parliament, Nana Rex Owusu-Ansah, says one of the achievements of the current Parliament is the passage of the Presidential Transition Act.

However, the Act as it stands now has a few loopholes. One of them is the summoning of Members of Parliament to meet to select a Speaker, while the out-going Parliament has not been dissolved.

Nana Owusu-Ansah said this during a discussion on Parliament in Ghana's Political and Administrative Transition at a seminar organised by the Institute of Democratic Governance, IDEG in Accra.
