Fire last night gutted the Akweteman residence of the Editor of the Daily Dispatch, Ben Ephson.

Reports say the fire which started around 10:30 pm took two fire tenders and close to an hour for personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service to bring the raging fire under control.

Though there were people in the house at time, no casualty has been recorded yet.

The cause of the fire is however yet to be established, it is suspected to have started from the garage.

Mr Ben Ephson who confirmed this said from the garage the fire spread to the other apartments - the living room, the kitchen and one bedroom. His main bedroom was however not affected.
