National House of Chiefs congratulates Muslims as Ramadan ends
The National House of Chiefs has appealed to Muslims to use the Eid-Ul-Fitr as an earnest opportunity to strengthen their faith in Allah and commitment towards peace.

They should also proclaim the significance of the festival as Allah’s love to mankind and this should permeate all their activities to bring peace and joy to society.

This is contained in a congratulatory message signed by the President of the House, Naa Professor John Nabila to mark the end of the month long fasting by the Muslim community.

The statement appealed to people to accept to work together to make the December elections peaceful. It noted that much is expected of all Ghanaians to control their temper in the least provocation so as to remain steadfast in the national interest.

The statement advised those who want to foment trouble, anxiety, chaos and social unrest before, during and after the general elections to mend their ways.

It said it is the prayer of the National House of Chiefs that the celebration of the Eid-Ul-Fitr and this year’s Hajj to Mecca would pass off peacefully and successfully.
