Ghana: Efforts to reduce malaria incidence yields positive result
Interventions aimed at reducing the burden of malaria in Africa, are yielding results. This is evident in the steady decline of about 50 percent of cases recorded at most health centres including Ghana.
Speaking to Radio Ghana, Dr. Kwaku Asante, a Research Fellow at the Kintampo Health Reseach Centre, which is analyzing Ghana's malaria transmission data said to further reduce the high incidence of malaria especially in children a vaccine has been developed and is being tested in eleven areas across Africa.
