Govt to secure drones to drop blood and medical suppliers to Ghana's hinterland

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has announced that government will ensure that its plan to introduce drone technology to deliver blood and essential medicines to remote parts of the country materializes before close of the year (2018).  

He said citizens living in the hinterland also deserve to benefit from quality healthcare. 

The Vice President said feasibility studies are complete for the drone medical supplies drop initiative, and this will kick off soon. 

Vice President Bawumia was speaking at the 83rd Annual General Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana in Ho.
