Board constituted to review rules and regulations of GAF

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Regulation Review Board has been constituted to re-assess the Armed Forces rules, regulations and other related documents. 

Inaugurating the board in Accra, Deputy Minister of Defence, Major Derrick Oduro, called on members of the board to come out with workable recommendations to transform the Ghana Armed Forces. 

The twelve-member board with a former Supreme Court Judge, Justice VCRAC Crabbe as its lead Consultant, will look into the regulations of the Ghana Armed Forces and amend it, as it is considered to be outmoded. 

Major Oduro noted that as society develops, there is the need for its laws to be upgraded to meet current demands.  

Chief of the Defence Staff, LT General Obed Boamah Akwa urged members of the board to work diligently to the satisfaction and development of the Ghana Armed Forces.

President of the Board, Colonel Benjamin Amoah-Boakye, appealed to stakeholders to help make the exercise a success.

Members of the Board include, LT Colonel D Mensah Boardman, Doris Baah, LT Colonel Kwaw Adotey, Juliet Boabeng, FLT LT L.M Wilson, Master One Officer Daniel Addo.
