NHIS requires dire support to survive - Ghana Medical Association  

The President of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Dr. Frank Ankobea has suggested the adoption of “innovative and pragmatic” ways to deal with “healthcare financing” in Ghana.

He said the challenges facing the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in recent times, is a clear indication that the scheme requires urgent financial support to stand on its feet. 

He was speaking at the 60th Anniversary Public Lecture of the GMA at Jirapa in the Upper West Region.
