Midland Savings and Loans Compensates Woman Assaulted By Police

Financial Institution, Midland Savings and Loans, has compensated the woman seen on a tape allegedly being assaulted by a police officer in the banking hall at its Shiashie branch in Accra last week.  

The police officer, Fredrick Amanor Godzi has since the incident been in police custody. 

He pleaded not guilty to the assault charge when he was arraigned before court on Thursday (July 26).  

Lawyers of the woman, Patience Osafo, say she has received a new house and cash in excess of GH¢100,000.  

The bank has since in a statement apologised for its actions.
