Curfews renewed in Northern and Volta Regions

The Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Derry, has on the advice of the Northern and Volta Regional Security Councils renewed the curfew hours imposed on Kpatinga and Bimbilla in the Northern Region and Alavanyo and Nkonya in the Volta Region.  

The curfew hours in Kpatinga and Bimbilla start from 6pm to 6am and from midnight to 4am effective today. 

The statement says the curfew hours in Alavanyo and Nkonya start from 6pm to 6am from Sunday July 29. 

The statement cautions all persons in these townships to desist from carrying arms and ammunition or any other form of offensive weapons. 

Any persons found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
