Narcotics Control Board destroys 500kg of marijuana with street value of 400,000 Ghana cedis

The Narcotics Control Board has destroyed five hundred kilograms of marijuana with a street value of 400 thousand Ghana cedis at its destruction site at Bundase military training camp.

The Narcotics was seized in December last year.

Divisional supervisor for Enforcement at the Narcotics Control Board Solomon Stanley Eyo said,the destruction was based on a court order.

He said one kilogram of the marijuana has a street value of 800 Ghana cedis. 

He added that marijuana from Ghana is considered to be high grade quality on International market hence the reason why people continue to cultivate it on large scale.
