My husband was not given the chance to prove himself


Wife of late former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, has expressed sorrow of how Ghanaians never gave her husband the chance to prove himself but rather was slapped with lies, malignment, treachery and the deliberately changing things so that they could look better than others.

“Did people know my husband, did they take time to know him, the false accusations the lies the maligning. Did they know him?”

Whiles reading the tribute of her beloved husband, she jabbed politicians.

She spoke of how astonished she has been ever since her husband died, because of the number of people who came to pay tribute to the late veep.

"Over the last few weeks I’ve been amazed at the number of people who have come to show us love, and I ask myself ‘is this Ghana? Are all this people in Ghana?’

Madam Matilda described her husband as a real “Gem”, including those who gave him the opportunity and time to prove himself to them.
