1D1F surest way to transform economy – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says the one-District one-Factory policy of his government is the surest way to Transformation the economy of the country.  

The government according to him will do everything possible to ensure that the socio-economic transformation agenda of the country will materialized. 

President Akufo Addo made these remarks at the inauguration of the motor bike assembly plant in Tamale. 

The Assembly plant was established by The Motor King Company under government policy of one -district one factory. The factory assembles variety of motor bike models such as tippers, water tankers, ambulances and trucks. 

He said government will support any organization or individual who embraces the policy to ensure industrial growth. The Ghana without Aid cannot be achieved without entrepreneurship and industrialization. 

The Minister of Trade, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng announced tax waivers for the company. He said importation of raw materials and five years period tax exemptions have been rewarded to the company and therefore called on the people to ensure that the Company’s operations meet the demand of the people. 

The Sector Minister said the establishment of the company will also create jobs for the teeming youth as well as reducing Maternal Mortality in the Northern region since the ambulances are suitable for rural transportation adding that under the NABCO policy government will post graduates to the factory. 

The Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Shin Tin Wang reiterated the strong relationship of China and Ghana. He said China has contributed immensely to the economy of Ghana. He mentioned the construction of more than 100 boreholes in rural Ghana to reduce the current water shortage in the area. 

Mr. Shi Ting Wang said China embraces the one district one factory policy and will support it for the economic transformation of the area.
