Women in Sawla-Tuna-Kalba appeal for lands

Women in Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Northern Region say it is difficult for them to have access to fertile land for farming activities. 

They said though their husbands have pieces of farm lands that they can share, the men are unwilling to do so because they feel that the women should be working with them instead of working on their own farms. 

These were some of the sentiments raised at the presentation of a research conducted in the district on women’s access to fertile farm lands at Sawla.
