First Lady donates new medical equipment to Atibie Government Hospital

Ensuring quality health care for women and children at the Atibie Government Hospital in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region, has been enhanced with the donation of new medical equipment. 

The items which include incubators, surgical equipment, instant warmer Delivery Beds, among other consumable products is to improve maternal health care in the district. 

The donation follows an appeal by the Hospital to the First Lady.  

The Director of Operations at the office of the First Lady, Mrs. Akosua Newman, said the items are to complement government's efforts in ensuring quality healthcare delivery. 

She said the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo believes in quality healthcare, especially for women and children, and would continue to lend her support to hospitals in dire need of medical equipment.

The Administrator of the Atibie Government Hospital, Kwame Ampadu Adjei who received the items on behalf of the Hospital, thanked Mrs Akufo-Addo and promised to put the equipment to good use. 

He said he will ensure that the equipment is regularly maintained.
