President Akufo-Addo describes late Nelson Mandela as the greatest African of all time

President Akufo-Addo has described late Nelson Mandela as the greatest African of all time. Mr. Mandela who is the first black President of South Africa led the liberation of that country from Apartheid rule. 

Delivering a Centenary lecture of the freedom fighter, the President said Mr. Mandela provided a solid foundation for democracy in Africa and practised what he preached. 

President Akufo-Addo noted that one of his legacies was inspired leadership.
