Supreme Court adjourns Woyome's case to October 15

The Supreme Court has adjourned the case against embattled businessman Alfred Agbeshie Woyome to the 15th of October this year.

The adjournment is to enable some claimants, UT bank and one Abena Achiaa who say certain properties of Woyome, the Attorney General has filed before the court to confiscate to defray 51 million cedis paid to him as judgement debt.

The UT bank claims the trasacco property as well as a quarry in the Volta region was used as a collateral by Woyome and once he has not been able to pay them back the money owed tthose properties cannot be sold by government.

The other, Abena Achiaa is also claiming she is the landlady of the Tesano residence and Woyome remains a tenant.

Justice Ampa Bennin who presided over the case as a sole judge after the presentations of parties in the case asked them to file witness statement and appear before him on the 15 of October.
