President Akufo-Addo nominates new MDCEs

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act has nominated new Municipal and District Chief Executives to the thirty eight (38) newly created Municipal and District Assemblies. 

A statement signed by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama said in view of the nominations made, Regional Ministers are requested to liaise with the Regional Electoral Commission to conduct the confirmation process of the nominated Chief Executives in their regions. 

The 38 nominees are to be in charge of newly created Municipal and District Assemblies.
