Contract to rehabilitate Eastern Rail Line to be extended 

The Minister of Railways, Joe Ghartey, says due to unforeseen circumstances the contract to rehabilitate the Eastern Rail Line will have to be extended. 

He told parliament that the initial difficulty relates to the acquisition of treated wooden sleepers.

The question on the status of the project stood in the name of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh Dompreh. 

MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh Dompreh was particularly concerned about employment opportunities for inhabitants along the project sites.
