Audit Service To Begin Auditing Physical Structures Executed With State Funds The Audit Service says it is broadening its scope of work which will include auditing physical structures executed with state funds. The Auditor General, Daniel Domelevo said for many years, the auditing process has been restricted to the books. He stated that from next fiscal year, the service will engage its technocrats to assess whether materials used for infrastructure projects were up to specifications. Mr. Domelevo said this at a meeting with the Special Budgets Committee of parliament. The Vice Chairman of the Committee and Minority Leader, Haruna Idrissu, commended the service for the pragmatic move aimed at protecting the public purse. The leader of the delegation and Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu, Phillip Basoah, said the short interaction with the Auditor General has been an eye opener. gbcghanaonline ---DECRYPTED---
