Governance expert wants Freddie Blay investigated over 275 bus policy

Governance Expert Fred Oduro Agyarko says he would have been surprised if delegates at the NPP National Delegates Conference had voted any other way. 

He said both the National Chairman Freddie Blay and General Secretary John Boadu led the party in the most difficult times and it was just appropriate for them to be retained. 

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana on the buses procured by Mr. Blay ahead of the conference, Mr Agyarko called for independent investigations into the issue to bring closure to the matter. 

Mr Oduro Agyarko said there is bound to be divisions after every major conference but how the divisions are managed is what is important.

His comments follow a barrage of criticisms against Freddie Blay who has decided to fund the procurement of some 275 buses to be used for commercial activities and to raise funds for the constituencies. 

NPP chairman Freddie Blay is reported to have already paid $3 million out of the entire amount of $11 million.

The buses will be run by the State Transport Company and part of the proceeds shall go to the constituencies.
