Injunction on observance of Kplejoo for Indigines of Nungua The Chiefs and People of Nungua will not celebrate this year’s Kplejoo festival due to a temporal injunction on the celebration by an Accra High Court. The injunction follows complaints raised by the Paramount Chief of Nungua, King Odaifio Welentsi concerning the Gborbu Wulomo, Numo Borketey Larweh’s disregard for his authority as the Chief and members of the Nungua Traditional Council. Nii Adotey Bosane is the Nungua Stool Secretary. On the likelihood of ignoring the injunction, the Nungua Kronti and Development Chief, Nii Odai Kwei, said the Council will return to court to file a contempt suit against defaulters. Some residents who spoke to Radio Ghana appealed to the Paramount Chief, King Odaifio Welentsi and the Gborbu Wulormor, Numo Borketey Larweh to reconcile to promote growth of the traditional area.
