High court to hear Attorney General's case against GFA executives today

An Accra High Court will this morning hear a substantive application filed by the Attorney General seeking an interlocutory injunction on Executives of the Ghana Football Association from performing their duties. 

The High court on the 12th of last month, granted and ex-parte application by the Attorney General and placed a temporary 10 day ban on all GFA Executives.
 
The Attorney General, is back in Court as part of government’s effort to clean up the football administration in Ghana in the wake of the Number 12 Anas Aremeyaw Anas Investigative piece, with an application on notice to secure a longer ban until the substantive motion seeking to liquidate the GFA has been determined. 
 
Sources close to lawyers for the GFA indicate that they are likely to ask the court for some time to file an affidavit in opposition to the motion of the State having be served only on, the 6th of June.
