President Akufo-Addo joins thanksgiving service after successful NPP congress President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo joined worshippers of the International Central Gospel Church, Jesus Temple in Koforidua to give thanks to God for a successful National Delegates Conference. President Akufo expressed gratitude to the people of Koforidua for making the program a success. He also urged the church to continue to pray for him and his government to succeed. The charged auditorium welcome President Akufo Addo and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and their entourage with music and dancing. Members of the NPP who dominated the church auditorium mainly wore white or the NPP party colours to signify their victory. The newly elected Chairman of the NPP, Freddie Blay read the first Bible and the first Vice Chairman Rita Talata Asobayire read the second Bible scripture. The Minister of ICGC, Jesus Temple in Koforidua, Rev Dickson Tuffour Sarpong in a sermon on Stewardship charged the newly elected executives to discharge their duties diligently as they will be held accountable. He said a good steward sacrifices his time and is faithful in all things. President Akufo Addo in a short remark said it in order to give thanks to God for seeing the party through a successful conference to elect a new leadership. He reiterated that his government is in power not for their selfish needs but to change the fortunes of the economy. Other dignitaries who accompanied the President were the Chief of Staff, Frema Osei Opare, the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery and the Eastern Regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Dafour.
