Radio Waa launches website

The management of Radio Waa has launched its official website for the station.

The event which took place at a suburb of  Wa known as Mangu was used tointroduce a new radio program for kids and also to out door a state-of-the-art soundequipment. 

Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were the Upper WestRegional Minister, Alhaji Alhassan Sulemana and the Paramount Chief of the Lawra, Naa Puowele Karbo. 

The Regional Minister, Alhaji Sulemana admonishedthe media to endeavour to play a unifying role in society. 

The Paramount Chief ofthe Lawra, Naa Karbo observed that “the Radio Waa team is very young” andurged them to work hard to realize their vision of further developing the UpperWest Region.   

The Manager of Radio Waa, Issaka Abubakari announced that within the short period of the Station’s existence, it has endeared itself to the people through its shows and programs. 

Mr. Abubakari indicated that Radio Waa asbroadcasting entity will continue to create opportunity for the people to hold dutybearers accountable.

Radio Waa which transmits on 92.1 MHz wasestablished in March 2017. 

The Executive Director for Community DevelopmentAlliance (CDA), Salifu Issifu Kanton who spoke about Corruption at the event,described the phenomenon as “a mass murder” which has several ramifications. 

Mr. Kanton emphasized that the only way we can fight corruption is to talk about it bynaming and shaming those who engage in the act. 

Some school children were onhand to spice up the event with their musical talents.
