Gold field workers protest over what they term "employer atrocities"

Aggrieved workers of Goldfields Ghana, have demonstrated in Tarkwa to register their displeasure at moves by their employers to make them sign Redundancy Letters. 

This forms part of plans to make them contract workers. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Mine Workers Union, Abdul Moomin Gbana, described the demonstration as a prelude to the solidarity nationwide strike by the Ghana Mine Workers Union.
