Commit To Clean Campaign – Bawku West DCE tells aspiring NPP executives The Bawku West District Chief Executive, Victoria Ayamba, has advised members of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) vying for various executive positions to be decent in their campaigns in order not to provide their opponents with ammunitions that would be used against the party in the 2020 General elections. According to Mrs. Ayamba, the use of abusive words against opponents running for the various executive positions in the party could be suicidal to the fortunes of the party in 2020 and has, therefore, called on all contestants to eschew character assassination in their campaigns. Speaking to Radio Ghana’s Samuel Ayammah in Zebila, the DCE said the interest and cohesion of the NPP must be paramount; hence all campaigns must be with modesty to enhance the fortunes of the party. Mrs. Ayamba advised supporters to shun contestants who would be using vile words in campaigning against their opponents to ensure peace and unity ahead of the 2020 general elections. She urged members of the NPP to live beyond their personal interest and collectively elect people with dedicated and unifiers to work for the party. She said the NPP now needs people who can strategize for the party and help it retain power come 2020. Mrs. Ayamba charged those vying for positions at both constituency and regional level, not to allow internal elections to divide them, adding that they must use it to come together and fight their political opponents, instead of fighting themselves. The DCE charged the party supporters vying for various positions in the Zebila Constituency to unite the party in their campaign grounds. According to her, the party snatched the seat from the NDC with hard work, dedication and commitment, hence the need for contestants to desist from their selfish interest. Meanwhile, aspiring constituency executives in the Zebila Constituency have pledged to conduct clean campaigns ahead of the upcoming polls. They have also committed to stick to the propagation of their visions as they meet delegates across the electoral areas of the constituency. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
