The Ghanaian Times calls for immediate reforms to implement protocols in the ECOWAS sub region as Ghana hosts the 5th ECOWAS Summit today. High on the agenda for Presidents and Finance Ministers in the sub region is the proposed ECOWAS single currency. The Times believes the ECOWAS protocol on free movement of goods and services could work best with a common currency as it will speed up trade and investment. The paper therefore calls for an urgent need to clear all barriers to enable member states realise the dreams of their forefathers.
