WAEC commence use of Electronic-marking to curb examination malpractices

The West African Examinations Council has initiated a strong media support in the fight against examination malpractices.  

The collaboration is in recognition of the media as a powerful tool for development. To enhance the collaboration, WAEC yesterday organised a seminar in Accra for Journalists to be abreast of structures and operations of the Council and measures to check examination malpractices. 

The Head of National Council of WAEC, Rev. Nii Nmai Ollennu, said the practice has become a national canker and the media's role in curbing it is critical.
